A private school built by people who have run early-years programs for twenty years
Kidszone Academy is the upper-kindergarten school that grew out of Kidszone Childcare Centre in Mississauga — same standards, higher ceiling.
It started with a question parents kept asking
For two decades our owner group has operated licensed childcare in Mississauga — managing enrolment, staffing, compliance and, most importantly, relationships with hundreds of families. Year after year the same question came up from parents of four- and five-year-olds: “Is there something more academic for this last year before Grade 1?”
Public kindergarten classes are large. Private schools nearby often start at Grade 1. And a daycare room, however warm, isn’t a classroom. So we built the thing that was missing: a dedicated upper-kindergarten classroom with its own space, its own qualified educators, the full provincial curriculum, and enrichment subjects most children don’t meet until much later.
We kept the practical things a working family actually needs — meals on site, doors open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, after-school care, and camps over the winter holidays and March Break. Kidszone Academy is deliberately small. We would rather turn a family away than dilute the room.
Our mission
To give every child in our care a confident, joyful head start — meeting the full Ontario Kindergarten Curriculum while opening doors to language, technology and communication far earlier than most children get the chance.
Our approach
Structured mornings, enriched afternoons, daily outdoor play. Children are known individually — their reading level, their strengths, the thing they’re stuck on this week. That’s only possible because we keep the class small and the ratios low.
